Roots of Joy is an original abstract painting built through layered colour, softened contours, and a shifting relationship between structure and movement.
The work holds a tension between organic form and an external framework, in which bright passages of colour appear contained, released, and redirected across the surface. Its visual language draws from natural growth, tropical forms, and the quiet architecture of trees, while remaining grounded in abstraction.
Selected fragments from the painting are translated into framed canvas print editions, allowing specific areas of colour, rhythm, and spatial tension to exist as independent works.
