Space opens, tonal shifts drift through the composition, and familiar forms remain just beyond recognition. The image feels suspended—balanced between stillness and change.
This limited-edition work originates from Interior Drift (2023). A spatial fragment was selected for its internal rhythm and compositional tension, then released from the descriptive boundaries of the original painting.
Rather than reproducing the painting as a whole, the edition allows the fragment to exist autonomously. It retains the material presence and restraint of its source while creating a more open, unresolved experience.

The fragment was chosen for its spatial continuity, tonal movement, and proportional balance. Cropping removes the original painting's descriptive edges, allowing openness and movement to continue beyond the frame.

Materials and construction
Printed with archival pigment inks on cotton–polyester canvas and stretched over FSC-certified wooden stretcher bars.
The work is presented in a black floating wood frame, creating a narrow visual separation between the canvas and its surrounding structure.
A concealed hanging system is integrated into the frame, and the work arrives ready to hang.

This printed edition is part of an ongoing translation practice in which original paintings are not reproduced but are carefully extracted. Fragment II operates at a spatial register, allowing the work to extend into scale while retaining compositional autonomy.
