Part of the Primary Syntax collection, this piece translates a fragment of an original painting into silk.
Colour, form and movement are preserved from the original work, while the silk introduces a softer surface, subtle sheen and a different response to light. Finished with a soft fringe, the piece continues the language of the painting beyond the canvas and into the interior.

One language, many forms. The Colour Nest begins with painting, but the work does not always end on canvas. Selected paintings continue into textile, print and object - changing material and function while keeping something of their original rhythm, colour and character.
This cushion is part of that process: an artwork translated into something tactile, made to become part of a lived space.

Each studio piece is produced in small quantities, and some works are prepared specifically for your order.
If something is not right when your order arrives - whether damaged, faulty, incorrect or materially different from the description - please contact the studio. Every issue is reviewed individually and we will work with you towards an appropriate resolution.
Eligible returns are handled in accordance with our Returns Policy. Pieces produced to individual specifications or personalised for you may be subject to different return conditions.

Shipping & Delivery
Studio-produced pieces are prepared individually rather than taken from standard mass-produced stock.
Where a production period is required, the expected lead time is clearly shown on the individual product page. Once your piece is complete, it is carefully prepared for transit and tracking details are provided after dispatch.
If you need an order for a particular date, please contact the studio before purchasing and we will let you know what is realistically possible.
Product Care
Each piece is made as an extension of the original artwork, with particular attention to material, colour, surface and finish.
Small variations in colour, texture or placement may occur between pieces and are part of the character of a studio-produced object rather than a mass-produced item.
