Textile Object
A textile object translated from Primary Syntax (2025).
This work originates from the original painting and has been reconfigured through a controlled process of material translation. Colour relationships from the source work are retained in a measured way, allowing structural mass, curvature, and internal tension to remain legible when transferred onto a textile surface.
The translation shifts the work from pictorial space into use. Form and rhythm are preserved while the surface becomes tactile and dimensional. The object does not function as a reproduction. It adapts the painting's compositional logic to a new material condition, allowing the work to exist within an interior without becoming illustrative or decorative.
Translation

The fragment was selected for its central density and curved structural relationships. The composition has been adjusted to accommodate scale, seam placement, and surface continuity, ensuring the painting's internal logic remains intact within a soft, functional format.

From the Practice
The Colour Nest brings abstract painting into physical space.
Original works on canvas are translated into print editions and objects through a considered process shaped by material, restraint, and structure. Each piece remains grounded in the logic of the original work.
The intention is not to stylise everyday life, but to allow art to exist within it on its own terms.
