Form for Light No. 05 is a scalloped glass pendant selected for the way a shallow, ribbed shade throws a warm field of light from a brass fitting.
A wide clear glass shade is cut with close vertical ribs and a scalloped rim. A brass-toned socket with a small turn-key sits above the glass; a twisted fabric cord drops from a circular ceiling rose. When lit, an Edison-style lamp sits in the open shade and the ribs catch the glow.
Chosen by the artist to live within THE COLOUR NEST house, the object is presented as part of Forms for Light. Emerald is Form for Light No. 06; Amber is No. 07.
